How much will it cost?

Prices start from £65. We allow up to 2 hours for sweeping a chimney. Please note, the charges for chimney sweeping services will vary based on several factors, including:
  1. Appliance or Size of Fireplace: the type and size of the appliance or fireplace will be taken into consideration when determining the price.
  2. Additional Work Required: if there is any additional work required during the service, such as addressing specific issues or performing extra cleaning tasks, the price may be adjusted accordingly.
  3. Number of Chimneys: if there are a 2 or more chimneys to be swept at one location, a small discount will be offered.
  4. Time Taken Beyond 2 Hours*: if the service exceeds the allocated two-hour timeframe due to unforeseen circumstances or additional work, there may be an additional charge based on the reasonable extra time taken (see Terms of Business - Pricing, para 3 for further information).

What is included in your price?

Our service package includes the following tasks and time allocation:
  1. Sweeping: the chimney sweeping process is allocated a portion of a two-hour timeframe.
  2. Cleaning/Servicing: cleaning and servicing tasks are also included as part of our service to you, although parts required for the servicing are charged separately. The time for these tasks is within the two-hour limit.
  3. Safety Checks: safety checks are conducted as part of our service to ensure your appliance is operating safely. This is also included in the price.
  4. Advisory Information: we provide you advisory information regarding the condition of your chimney and any recommended actions. This is included as part of our service.
  5. Safety Documentation: at the end of the process, we will issue you with appropriate documentation, such as a certificate of sweeping (valid for house insurance) or a warning notice (for your safety), depending on the outcome of the sweep. The time to complete this documentation is included in the two-hour timeframe.
 
* It's important to note that the allocated two hours are based on the assumption there are no unexpected nests, blockages, problems with the flue or liner or access to them or other unforeseen issues.
